A little about us:
Welcome to the Ancient City Chapter
This club serves St. Augustine, Florida, and surrounding areas. It is for Harley riders and enthusiasts.
Formerly, beginning in 1990, we were St. Augustine H.O.G. sponsored by Hollingsworth H-D, the oldest dealer in Florida. The Hollingsworth family sold the business in 2007 and the dealership became St. Augustine Harley-Davidson. Our Chapter number changed but our identity remained the same. In late 2011 our dealership closed permanently and our Chapter was dissolved by H.O.G. in accordance with their national policy at that time.
Our choice then was to become an independent club or be absorbed into an existing Chapter in the NE Florida area. We voted to become an independent club. We formed Ancient City Harley Riders, not affiliated with any dealership. We remained a strong and happy club throughout this transition.
In 2014 we learned that National H.O.G. had changed its "1 Dealership = 1 Chapter" policy and, under certain circumstances like ours, an existing dealer "in that zip code" could sponsor another Chapter. We were pleased and proud that Adamec Harley-Davidson in Jacksonville accepted our offer to sponsor their third 3rd Chapter. On Saturday, 7/19/14, our membership voted overwhelmingly to affiliate our club with National H.O.G., and by a 77 to 4 vote we became the Ancient City Chapter.
In 2019 Adamec completed construction of and opened a new full-service dealership in St Augustine… home of the Ancient City Chapter.
Ancient City Chapter is not affiliated with any other H.O.G. Chapter, we remain our own independent group proudly sponsored by Adamec Harley-Davidson of St Augustine.
We ride to eat, eat to live, and live to ride. It's pretty simple so check us out any 2nd Saturday at our monthly meetings. We're laid back. There are a few simple rules but what we do is RIDE!
Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner: It's better to get there on a motorcycle with your friends. Overnight, 3-days or 4-day weekends ~ we do that too. Check the Calendar Page for more.
Feel free to contact us if you wish by email or phone. Contact information is available on the Contact Us web page or via any officer listed on the "Officers" page.
Meeting Info:
We meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month (except for December). Most meetings are at Adamec Harley-Davidson of St Augustine. Check out our main page or calendar to see where we are meeting each month.
