David Paul Beach
St. Augustine HOG, Ancient City Harley Riders, and Ancient City Chapter

OCTOBER 15, 1948 – OCTOBER 11, 2022

David Paul Beach (73), retired (2005) COO at Apotex-TorPharm, Toronto, Canada and long-time resident of St. Augustine, FL, passed away on October 11, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

David was born in New York City, NY and raised in the small town of Schoharie, New York. He graduated from Schoharie High School in 1968. After high school, he graduated from Albany's College of Pharmacy and then earned his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

He enjoyed a successful career as a pharmacist in New York and continued his career in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing at Apotex-TorPharm, the largest pharmaceutical company in Canada that exported generic drugs to the United States.

David met the love of his life Mary and were married October 9, 2010. He was happiest surrounded by his family and friends enjoying good conversation and swapping stories (he always had plenty of great stories to tell). In his earlier years, he enjoyed piloting his plane, traveling the roads on his Harley Davidson, and cruising the waters on his boat. He was an accomplished basketball player, loved running, an avid golfer and this man could COOK! He was always whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.

David is survived by his wife Mary Beach (Minick) of 12 years; children Brian Beach, Bonus daughter Shannon (John) Cesal, Bonus son Sean (Braelyn) Kruelskie; Grandchildren Lailoni, Talin, Aedan and Logan; Mother-In-Law, Doris Boudreaux; Brothers Robert (Janice) Beach, Rick (Jeanne) Beach; Brother-in-Law Joe Minick. David was pre-deceased by his parents, Paul and Florence Beach and sister Karen Beach (Porter). He is also survived by two nieces Allison Rorick (Beach) and Becky McMahan (Beach) and three nephews Robert (Bobby Beach), David Porter and John Minick; as well as several great nieces and nephews.

David was truly an amazing man and larger than life (he was 6'6" tall) and his energy would fill any room. He will continue to live on in our memories, and will be loved and never forgotten.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Ella Tinney, before joining the United States Army, where he had a distinguished 20 year career. Upon retiring from the Army he went to work as a civilian employee for the United States Navy in Arlington, Va, officially retiring in 2010. During his military career, he and his family enjoyed living overseas, serving three tours in Germany, which allowed them to travel to and visit many other places throughout Europe.

John “JC” Mullen
Ancient City Chapter

1957 - 2021

John C. Mullen, age 63, of St. Augustine, FL passed away Tuesday, September 28 at Advent Health Hospital in Palm Coast, FL. Born in Trenton, NJ, he lived in the New Egypt area in his younger years and lived in Delran before moving to Florida a year ago.

John’s world was his daughter, his wife, his German Shepherds (Ozzy and Ana) and his AA friendships. He loved his tight knit group of friends…many of which span well over 30 years, riding his motorcycle with many of them. “Live to Ride, Ride to Live”. He was a completely selfless man who took great joy in helping others wherever he could…never looking for the spotlight. He very much enjoyed music, many different kinds of music and had a great singing voice. On most days if he wasn’t riding his Harley, you could find him tinkering with it in the garage, listening to music or finding some household chore that needed to be done…never one to sit idle, always busy. The last few years, he started working on jigsaw puzzles, and also liked to read. He was a spiritual, family loving man…
